Outpatient Occupational Therapy
Treating the whole person and his or her environment.
Occupational therapists help people improve, recover, or develop skills needed to perform their daily activities (occupations).
Treatment may include specialized exercises, therapeutic use of everyday activities, training in adaptive equipment or techniques, and development of home programs.
Our services include:
- Lymphedema Clinic
- Adult Neurological Rehabilitation
- Elbow/Wrist/Hand Post-Surgery Rehabilitation
Treatment interventions may be carried out by an Occupational Therapist (OT) or an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), who work under the supervision of the therapist. All OT and COTA personnel on staff at Augusta Health are licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine.
