About Robotic Surgery
Robotic-assisted surgery is a minimally invasive surgery using high-tech instruments.
Our specially trained surgeons use the da Vinci Xi Surgical System® to perform a wide range of delicate and complex operations.
Here’s how it works:
- During a procedure, the surgeon is seated at a console while viewing a magnified 3-D image of the patient.
- Aided by a specially trained team of nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs, the surgeon controls the interactive robotic arms that hold surgical tools.
- The tiny “fingers” of the robot allow the surgeon to make smaller incisions with greater precision, reducing risk to the patient.
“Robotic surgical procedures provide for a faster recovery time, as well as less pain and blood loss.”
