What happens if you need extra tests?
- Sometimes after a screening exam your doctor will need more information.
- Your doctor or nurse will talk more about the tests you need, and how they can help you.
- You may be afraid of having more tests, but the information is very important. This is why you should have all of the tests you need done.
- Most of the tests will be paid for, but some tests are not. Ask your doctor or nurse if you will have to pay for any tests.
What happens if you have breast or cervical cancer?
- If you have breast or cervical cancer, you may be eligible to have your treatment paid for by Medicaid.
- You will have to pay a small fee for Medicaid services. For example, the charge for a clinic visit may be $1.
- When you are done with your treatment, your Medicaid coverage will end. At that time, you may be eligible to re-enroll in the Every Woman’s Life program.
