Emergency Management
Emergency Management
The Department of Emergency Management and Safety is responsible for all phases of emergency management, including what needs to be done before, during, and after an emergency (preparedness, response, and recovery). This includes conducting the annual Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) and mitigating those hazards, developing plans for emergency scenarios, providing training, maintaining emergency and disaster supplies, designing and conducting drills and exercises, validating the plans, and supporting the Incident Management Team (IMT) in their response to emergencies and disasters.
