Augusta Medical Group
A commitment to quality care that is readily accessible and meets the needs of the communities we serve.
Behind the success of every nationally ranked hospital is a group of dedicated medical professionals who serve patients in primary care practices, specialty clinics, and outpatient venues. What sets apart the physicians and mid-level providers of Augusta Medical Group is their commitment to offering community-wide access to high-quality, patient-centered care, and holistic treatment.
Established in 2008, the hospital-owned Augusta Medical Group is an essential part Augusta Health’s tradition of innovation, and its members guided the hospital’s recent expansion of urgent care centers and convenient care clinics in the Greater Augusta County service area. The Augusta Medical Group continues to aspire to become the region’s first choice in all facets of healthcare.
In a perpetual effort to bring coordinated, collaborative health care to patients throughout the community and to supplement Augusta Health’s private practices, Augusta Medical Group and its services continue to grow and diversify:
- Convenient primary care practices in neighborhoods from Verona to Lexington
- Urgent care and convenient care clinics with extended evening and weekend hours
- Membership includes more than 210 physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who work in the hospital or nearby on its medical center campus — their specialties include cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, diabetes, occupational medicine, and more.
- Active recruitment of top-notch medical professionals who are passionate about community health care and know the value of smoothly coordinating patient treatment with a respected hospital
