Incident at Blue Ridge Shopping Center

Crozet, VA – At approximately 1:30 PM today, Augusta Health learned of a reported shooting incident at the Blue Ridge Shopping Center in proximity to an Augusta Health location.  Augusta Health is relieved to confirm that everyone inside the facility is safe and accounted for, and there were no serious injuries. The safety of staff and patients remains the top priority of Augusta Health. At the time of the incident, ten people were in the Augusta Health Primary Care and Urgent Care location, two of whom were patients.

The Albemarle County Police Department and Virginia State Police are managing the scene and actively investigating the situation. We appreciate local law enforcement and emergency responders for their quick response and continued support.
