At Augusta Health, we have an uncompromised commitment to clinical and academic excellence. With our dynamic curriculum, dedicated clinical teams, and engaged faculty, we offer an exceptional graduate medical education experience.
Curriculum and Schedule
Our internal medicine residency program offers an engaging didactic curriculum and dynamic inpatient and outpatient clinical experiences. Modeled on a 3+1 block schedule, residents rotate through 3 weeks of inpatient and subspecialty rotations followed by 1 week of outpatient medicine. Welcome to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley! We are proud to call this gorgeous place home. Here you can hike the Appalachian trial, explore the farmers’ market, take in musical or theatrical performances in Staunton or Charlottesville, discover the rich culinary flavors of a diverse restaurant scene, play tennis or take a pilates class at the fitness center and make a quick trip to Washington, DC; Richmond, VA; or Roanoke, VA.
