Augusta Medical Group Names Cecilia Carpenter as Chief Operating Officer

FISHERSVILLE, VIRGINIA— Augusta Medical Group is pleased to announce Cecilia Carpenter as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). With a visionary approach and a strong background in operational excellence, Carpenter will be instrumental in guiding Augusta Medical Group’s operations and enhancing the mission to deliver outstanding care to all community members.

Carpenter brings extensive leadership experience, focusing on quality management and strategic operational planning. Her strong commitment to people—whether team members, providers, her management team, or patients—distinguishes her as a leader who values understanding, empathy, and meeting the needs of those she serves.

As Administrative Director of Quality and Surgical Services, Carpenter improved Augusta Medical Group’s surgical services. A key achievement was creating a Quality KPI dashboard that enhanced the monitoring of patient outcomes. Additionally, Carpenter developed a strong leadership team, engaged providers in projects, and advanced the mission to improve care for communities. “Cecilia’s focus on people and operational excellence is exactly what Augusta Medical Group needs as we look ahead,” said Kris Doan, President of Augusta Medical Group. “Her leadership has already had a lasting impact, and I am genuinely excited about what lies ahead under her guidance.
