The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a quality program administered by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), granted Augusta Health accredited status. To achieve voluntary NAPBC accreditation, a breast center must comply with the NAPBC standards, which address its leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education, and patient quality improvement. Breast centers seeking NAPBC accreditation undergo a site visit every three years.
As a NAPBC-accredited center, Augusta Health is committed to maintaining excellence in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered, multidisciplinary care resulting in high-quality care for patients with breast disease. This prestigious recognition highlights Augusta Health’s dedication to education, prevention, and treatment of both malignant and benign breast conditions in their communities. Patients can be confident that their breast care team includes healthcare professionals from various disciplines committed to working together to provide the best care available throughout their entire treatment. Augusta Health’s program has been rigorously evaluated against stringent surgical, medical, and radiation oncology standards, affirming a comprehensive and compassionate approach to patient care.
