CELEBRATING AUGUSTA HEALTH PROVIDERS

FISHERSVILLE, Virginia – On April 10, 2024, in recognition of 2024 Doctor’s Day, Augusta Health took a moment to appreciate doctors’ hard work and dedication at a medical staff meeting at the Blackburn Inn. Welcoming remarks from the Augusta Health Medical Staff President, Jason Lawrence, MD, Augusta Health Credentials Committee Chair, Brian Stisser, MD, Augusta Health President and CEO, Mary N. Mannix, FACHE, and Augusta Health Chief Physician Executive Clint Merritt, MD, included thanking all providers for their years of dedication to Augusta Health, some of whom have been offering health care to this community for over 30 years.

Doctor’s Day Awards in Excellence were presented in three categories: outstanding clinical care, a role model for teamwork, and exceptional bedside manner. These recognitions focused on demonstrating outstanding clinical care and teamwork with colleagues and team members. Before the April 10 meeting, providers were encouraged to nominate a Physician or an Advanced Practice Provider for these Doctor’s Day Awards in Excellence, and over fifty local providers were nominated. A selection committee reviewed nominations, and a provider and advanced practice provider were announced for each category.
